Kindroid Pricing: Every Tier and Add-On Cost

Kindroid standard access costs $13.99 a month bought directly on the web, or $15.99 through the App Store and Google Play. Longer terms drop the rate: $37.99 for three months or $139.99 a year on the web, against $42.99 and $159.99 in the apps. Two optional memory add-ons sit above that and are easy to miss, because a full MAX subscription costs $98.97 a month on the web rather than the $13.99 most reviews quote.

We read these figures off Kindroid own subscription and in-app purchase documentation on September 2, 2026. That is worth saying because Kindroid help center renders in the browser rather than on the server, so the pages look empty to a lot of tools, and most of the pricing articles you will find appear to be copying each other rather than the source. Prices in this market drift, so treat everything below as accurate on that date.

How much does Kindroid cost per month?

Kindroid charges less if you pay it directly. The company is open about why, saying prices are lower on the web "due to lower processing fees compared to app stores" and recommending web billing "for maximum flexibility." That flexibility is not marketing language: plan switching works differently depending on where you bought.

Kindroid notes that prices are listed in US dollars and can vary with regional pricing outside the United States. The totals above are its own arithmetic, published in the subscription documentation rather than calculated by us.

What do you get on the Kindroid free tier?

Enough to evaluate the product, not enough to live in it. Free accounts get unlimited messages on Lite, which Kindroid describes as "the smaller, distilled version of our flagship model," two Kindroids per account, one selfie request every two hours up to a maximum of two, and 5,000 lifetime audio characters, which the docs put at roughly five minutes of audio. Long term memory recall is basic and Cascaded Memory, the medium term memory layer, is off.

The gap that matters most is the model. Kindroid says outright that "free users should upgrade to trial/subscription to use the flagship, premium language models," so a free trial of the conversation quality is not really a trial of the conversation quality. Free accounts also share capacity: the FAQ notes free users may see slower responses during high traffic while paid users are on dedicated servers.

How does the Kindroid free trial work?

There is a 3-day premium trial for new free users, and it behaves the way most trials do. It requires a payment method on file and "auto converts into a subscription if not cancelled within the trial period." Kindroid does send an email reminder one day before it converts, which is more courteous than the industry norm.

Two details are easy to trip over. On the web, Kindroid requires a verified mobile phone number to start a trial, as an anti-abuse measure, and it offers subscribing without a trial if you would rather not hand over the number. And the audio allowance is staged: instead of the full million credits up front, the trial grants 150,000 at the start and the remaining 850,000 only when it converts.

What are the Kindroid Ultra and MAX tiers?

They are memory add-ons, and they are the reason a Kindroid subscription can quietly cost seven times what a review told you. Each stacks on the one below: Ultra requires the standard subscription, and MAX requires both standard and Ultra. Kindroid explains that it limits context on the standard plan "to keep our service cost-sustainable for all users," and says these tiers exist to cover dedicated server costs rather than to make money, expecting to "break even and potentially lose money even at these rates."

Two mechanics deserve attention before you buy. First, cancelling a lower tier silently downgrades your service while you keep paying: Kindroid gives the example of a MAX subscriber who cancels Ultra and continues "paying for MAX but service level would be Ultra." Second, if the standard subscription lapses you drop to the free tier regardless of Ultra or MAX being active. The stack only works whole.

You also cannot simply buy them. Kindroid says you need to be "an active Kindroid user with significant interaction history through chatting and calling" to unlock the option, which it frames as making sure buyers understand the product first and as a way to keep demand predictable. If you are stacking several AI subscriptions at once, it is worth routing them somewhere that will flag the moment a recurring charge jumps, because add-on tiers like these are exactly the sort of line item that grows without an email telling you so.

Does Kindroid give refunds?

Rarely, and there are two clauses here that a buyer should read before a first payment rather than after a problem. Kindroid states that refunds are considered case by case, that it "generally do not offer refunds and all sales are final," and, unusually bluntly, that it reserves "the right to permanently ban users who dispute charges." A chargeback is therefore not a safe fallback.

The clause that interacts badly with everything else is the one about enforcement. Kindroid says that if an account is suspended or terminated for a terms violation, you are "not entitled to any refund or credit for the unused portion of your subscription, regardless of the remaining term." Read alongside its moderation policy, that means the same automated system that can lock an account is also the point at which an unused annual subscription stops being refundable. Is Kindroid worth it compared to the alternatives?

It depends almost entirely on whether you want media generation. Kindroid makes images and video, runs group chats, and sells memory capacity as a product in its own right. Nothing on the standard plan is unreasonable at $13.99 a month for that feature set, and the annual rate works out to $11.67 a month.

Where the maths turns is at the add-ons. At $38.98 a month for Ultra or $98.97 for MAX, you are paying for context length rather than for a different product, and it is worth being honest with yourself about whether a longer context window is the thing your conversations are actually missing. We also do not generate images or video at all, so if that is the point of the purchase, Kindroid wins outright.

The other thing to weigh is where you buy. Kindroid documents that you cannot move a subscription between iOS, Android and web without letting it lapse first, and that Android users cannot change billing interval at all until the current term runs out. Buying on the web is both cheaper and easier to unwind, which is a rare case of the two lining up. Does paying for Kindroid verify your age?

Yes, and this is the one place where paying buys you something other than features. Kindroid requires all users to be over 18 and treats a payment method as age verification in itself, saying that "once a user becomes paid, they are verified and will not need re-verification even if their subscription lapses." Free accounts instead pass through a behavioral age estimation system, and if flagged must either subscribe or verify through Yoti with a selfie estimate or a government ID.

Kindroid published the outcome data, which very few platforms do: fewer than 2% of new free accounts have triggered the system, about 55% of those flagged never completed verification, and of those who did, 80% chose Yoti and 20% subscribed.
