Payments

Refund Policy

Plainly put, once a Depravity.ai subscription is paid, the payment stays paid. There are three exceptions, and they are listed further down.

In effect from October 14, 2026.

What a subscription gives you

Each plan is a monthly or yearly subscription to the companion chat, with the message allowance, characters and memory described on the pricing page. The fee covers access for the period. It is not a payment per message, and a week without a single conversation costs the same as a week of chatting every night.

When you subscribe, you ask us to open the Service to you immediately. If a statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period would otherwise apply to your purchase, you accept that it ends as soon as the Service has started at your request.

Payments we do not return

  • You lost interest, found another app, or simply stopped chatting.
  • A character's replies, memory or personality did not feel the way you hoped, or the AI misunderstood you.
  • You did not use the period, or used only a small part of your message allowance.
  • Something you wanted is not described on the pricing page, or works differently from what you imagined.
  • You picked the wrong plan or the wrong billing period.
  • You assumed you were paying once. Every plan renews, as the pricing page, checkout, the confirmation email and your account settings say.
  • A renewal was charged because you cancelled late, or you cancelled right after it, including a renewal collected after a failed attempt.
  • Your account was suspended or closed for breaking the hard lines in our Terms of Service.
  • Another person used your account or device with your login.

The three exceptions

A payment is returned only when one of these applies, only when our records support it, and only up to that payment.

  1. You paid twice for one period because of a billing error on our side.
  2. Your card was charged without your permission, you told us within 14 days of the charge, and the account and transaction records confirm it. A claim by itself does not decide it, and we may ask you to confirm that you reported the misuse to your card issuer.
  3. The Service did not work at all. A fault on our side, confirmed by us, made the chat completely unusable for a continuous period, you reported it while it was happening, and we were unable to fix it. Slow replies, a character being briefly unavailable, or problems with your own device, browser or connection do not qualify.

A returned payment goes back to the original payment method, is never larger than what you paid for the affected period, and is the whole of our liability for it. One return does not entitle you to another.

Asking us

Write to support@depravity.ai from the email address on your account within 14 days of the charge. Tell us the date and amount and which exception applies. Anything sent later, from another address or by another route is not reviewed. Requests are handled in the order they come in, without a promised reply time, and a declined request is final.

Cancelling and renewals

Your plan renews by itself until you cancel it in your account settings, which you can do whenever you like without contacting us. Cancelling switches off all future renewals at once, and you keep your conversations and access until the end of the period already paid. Unused days are not paid back.

Each new period is due on the day it starts, because your access for it starts that day. If a payment fails, the same charge is retried over the following days; these retries are not new charges. Cancelling during the retries stops later renewals only, and the period that has already begun remains payable and is not returned. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the date shown in your account settings.

Records and disputes

For every subscription we keep the plan and price shown before payment, the time you accepted our terms and confirmed you are an adult, the emails we sent you, and a log of account activity such as sign-ins and sessions, with the technical details that come with them. Our payment operator keeps its own record of each charge, including where the card was issued, where the payment came from and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure where it was used.

Disputing a charge with your bank without contacting us first breaks our Terms of Service. We send these records to the card issuer and close the account permanently.

Older purchases

Subscriptions bought before October 14, 2026 stay under the refund terms that were published when they were bought.
