What AI has no filter?

None of the big ones. That is the short version, and it is worth internalizing before you spend another evening trying to prompt your way around a wall. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Character AI all filter every conversation, and the filters have gotten tighter over the last year, not looser.

The genuinely unfiltered options fall into three categories. Purpose-built uncensored chat products remove the content gate and give you a polished companion with nothing to set up. Bring-your-own-key front-ends are free or cheap but expect you to supply model access yourself. Open-weights models running on your own hardware are the only option where the conversation never leaves your machine, and they are also the most work by a wide margin.

Is there an AI like ChatGPT without a filter?

Not from OpenAI, at least not yet. Sam Altman announced in October 2025 that ChatGPT would allow erotica for verified adults. As of July 2026 that adult mode has not shipped. It has not been formally cancelled either, but a nine month wait on an announced feature tells you how much friction sits behind it.

The structural reason is simple. OpenAI sells to enterprises and answers to app stores, payment processors, and regulators. A product with that customer base has to be defensible before it is candid. Waiting for a mainstream assistant to become unfiltered is a bet against its own business model.

What AI has no filter like Grok?

Grok is genuinely looser in tone than ChatGPT, and people notice. It will take a position, make a joke, and skip a lot of the hedging. But loose is not the same as unfiltered. It is still a mainstream product with content policies, and it will still refuse plenty of what people are actually looking for when they search this.

Does no filter mean no limits?

No, and it is important to be blunt about this because the phrase gets abused by products that should not exist. No filter means no corporate content gate, no reflexive refusal, no lecture attached to the answer. It does not mean no law and no ethics.

Depravity refuses anything involving minors, anything involving non-consent, and anything that helps with genuinely illegal harm. Those are permanent lines. Every serious product in this category holds versions of them. If you find one advertising literally no limits, what it is telling you is that nobody responsible is running it.

How do you choose an unfiltered AI chat?

The filter is only the first question. These are the ones that decide whether you are still using it in three months.

• Does it stay candid under pressure, or does it just refuse a bit later than the mainstream ones do.
• Does the memory hold across sessions. Forgetting the thread is the fastest way to kill a conversation.
• What happens to your chat data, and can a US account actually opt out of training.
• Does it hold real hard lines around minors, non-consent, and illegal activity.
• Is the pricing honest, or does it meter you once you are invested in the conversation.
