Janitor AI Plus Price: Is Janitor+ Worth It

janitor+ costs $12.99 a month in US dollars, before tax, and renews automatically until you cancel. It adds five times the free context window, priority routing when the site is busy, monthly swipes with stronger models, and access to janitor+ Router, where third-party models are billed per token from a separate wallet. The free tier stays free. Subscriptions are generally non-refundable, and paying does not change what gets moderated or refused.

That is the whole price, and it is worth saying where it comes from, because the numbers in review roundups disagree with it. On September 10, 2026 we read the janitor+ plan page at janitorai.com/plus, the Terms of Service last updated July 29, 2026, the subscription and Router articles in the Janitor help center, and the launch announcements. Everything below comes from those pages. Where Janitor does not publish something, we say so rather than fill the gap.

How much does Janitor AI Plus cost?

$12.99 a month. The plan page lists it as "$12.99 USD /mo" with "No commitment. Cancel anytime," and the small print adds "Renews automatically," "Usage limits apply" and "Tax not included." Janitor launched it on June 24, 2026, calling it "our first-ever subscription product."

The plan page shows a monthly price only. The Terms of Service mention monthly, quarterly and annual billing cycles in general language, but no quarterly or annual janitor+ price appears on the plan page, so we are not going to print one. If you see a yearly figure somewhere, check it against your own checkout screen before you trust it.

Two terms matter before you subscribe. Section 8.4 lets Janitor adjust pricing "at any time," with the change reaching existing subscribers at the start of the next billing cycle after notice. And if you subscribe inside the iPhone or Android app, Apple or Google handles the billing, which changes how you cancel and how refunds work. More on both below.

What do you get with janitor+?

Janitor lists five things, and the free tier it compares them against is unusually generous for this market.

The feature that actually changes the experience is context. Around 9k tokens covers a character definition plus a moderate stretch of conversation before earlier details start falling out, which is the moment most people describe as a character forgetting. Five times that is a real difference in a long scene. The stronger-model swipes are a monthly allowance rather than unlimited use, and the plan page does not publish how many you get.

What does janitor+ Router cost on top?

Router is the part of the price that the $12.99 does not show. Launched July 30, 2026, it lets subscribers use third-party AI models inside Janitor with no API key and no proxy. Janitor describes it as "a simpler, more integrated alternative to the third-party proxies many people already use with JanitorAI." You pick a model, see its per-token rate and context limit, and pay from a built-in wallet. Subscribers get 10% off some popular models, and the launch came with $5 in promotional credits that, per the help center, "expire one year after being claimed."

Read section 8.8 of the Terms before you top up, because the wallet follows different rules from the subscription:

• Credits need an active subscription. "An active janitor+ subscription is required to purchase and use Router Credits." Let janitor+ lapse and the balance sits unusable until you resubscribe.
• A refusal can still cost money. Credits may be consumed when a request is "filtered, moderated, or refused after processing begins," as long as billable usage occurred.
• Purchases are final. Router credit purchases are "final and non-refundable, including for unused or expired Credits."
• Credits can expire. Janitor reserves the right to expire unused purchased credits 365 days after purchase.
• Running dry mid-chat. The help center says the message in progress may complete, and further requests then stop until you add funds.

So the honest monthly cost of janitor+ for anyone using Router is $12.99 plus whatever the wallet burns, and that second number depends entirely on which model you pick and how long your scenes run. Subscription-plus-wallet spending is also hard to read on a statement, because top-ups land as irregular amounts that never match the sticker price. If you want the real annual figure, the quickest route is to convert your PDF bank statements into a spreadsheet and total every line from the same merchant.

One billing detail surprised us. The Terms authorize an affiliate, Dulova Investments Limited of Nicosia, Cyprus, along with Janitor's payment partners, to charge your payment method, while your account itself stays with JanitorAI Inc. If a billing record names a company you do not recognize, that clause is the likely explanation.

Is there a Janitor AI Pro plan for $9.99?

Not on any Janitor page we could find. Several review sites list a "Pro" plan at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and at least one lists a "Premium" tier at $11.69. The plan page shows two options, Free and janitor+ at $12.99, and the June 24, 2026 announcement calls janitor+ the company's first-ever subscription product, which leaves no room for an earlier Pro plan. Those figures look like guesses copied from one article to the next. A page quoting one did not check the source.

Can you get a refund on janitor+?

Usually not. The help center says "Subscriptions are generally non-refundable, except where required by our Terms of Service or applicable law," and the Terms add that "No partial refunds will be provided for unused portions of a billing period." When you cancel, janitor+ stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and then your account drops back to the free tier.

How you cancel depends on where you subscribed. On the web, go to Settings, then Billing, then Manage Subscription, which opens the Stripe billing page. If you subscribed in the app, cancel through the App Store or Google Play, because Janitor states that "App-based subscriptions cannot be canceled from the web." Deleting the app cancels neither kind.

One more clause matters if you are paying to get around refusals. Section 8.7 says payment "does not limit our ability to moderate Content, filter or refuse requests," and that filtered or restricted use "does not entitle you to a refund or credit." Is janitor+ worth it?

It depends on which problem you are paying to fix, and here the answer is unusually clear-cut.

Yes, if memory is the problem. If characters lose the thread in long scenes, five times the context for $12.99 is a fair price for what it does, and the free tier is still there if you cancel. This is the case janitor+ was built for.

Maybe, if you already pay for a proxy. If you were paying a model provider directly, Router removes the key and the setup. It does not remove the per-token cost, and it adds a $12.99 subscription plus a wallet of final-sale credits. Compare what you spend today with what the same model costs in Router before you switch. No, if refusals are the problem. janitor+ is not sold as a looser filter, and the Terms say plainly that paying does not change moderation. If the mobile app is the issue, the fix is a free setting on the website. If the model keeps refusing, a subscription on the same platform is the wrong purchase.

Probably not, if you want no moving parts. Some people do not want to manage tokens, wallets, model menus or app toggles at all. That is a different product, and it is the one we sell: a flat monthly plan with one published set of limits and nothing to configure. On the raw number, janitor+ is competitive. Where it differs is structure: a cheap subscription with a usage meter attached, on a platform whose free tier is good enough that plenty of people never need either. We cost more and have no free tier. What that buys is a price that does not move with usage.
