What Joyland AI costs in 2026

Joyland's web pricing loads inside the app after you sign in, so the clearest public price list is the App Store. The listing for Joyland AI: Anime roleplays (seller ELDORIA PTE. LTD., version 2.0.0, updated August 20, 2026) shows two in-app purchases.

Here is the odd part. The Terms of Service describe only two programs: "Free Use" and "Pro", "a subscription-fee based program, which gives full access to the Services." There is no Pro in the store, and no Standard or Premium in the terms. The terms add that the free tier can be withdrawn: "We reserve the right to deny free use to anyone at any time on our own discretion." So before paying, check inside the app which plan actually gives what you want, because neither public document tells you.

Does Joyland AI allow NSFW?

Joyland never says yes. The "Unacceptable Content" list in its terms bans "Pornographic Material", defined around images: no real photos of people, no "AI-generated images that are too realistic", and "no allowance for any images of genitalia". It also bans "Offensive, Disturbing, Unsettling, Disgusting, or Macabre Content", a category broad enough to cover almost anything a moderator dislikes, and lists "Replies with Sexual Implications" under a spam heading.

On consent, Joyland uses its own test. Characters must "pass the Harkin's Test (a test to determine perceptive consent of fiction) to participate in any scenarios involving consent", and "non-anthropomorphized entities involved in non-consensual acts are not allowed." Minors, characters of undefined age and "aged-up" characters are banned outright, which is right.

Put together, nothing in Joyland's terms permits explicit chat in writing, and the open-ended categories give it room to remove a character or an account later. Joyland may "suspend or terminate your account... for any reason, including, without limitation, for lack of use." When the rules are that loose, paying for Premium buys more of the service, not more permission.

Why people look for a Joyland AI alternative

Disputes go to Singapore. Any claim is settled by binding arbitration at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, individually, with a waiver of class actions. For a US buyer, that is a long way to go over a $19.99 charge.

What Joyland does with your chats

The Privacy Policy says "we do not and will not sell your Personal Information", which is a clear promise. It also says Joyland "may convert the collected dialogue text data into anonymous numbers and graphs" and use it in "non-profit academic cooperation" with state-recognized universities and research institutes, and that personal information may be transferred to servers in the United States. Advertising networks "may use cookies to collect Personal Information." None of this is unusual, but it is worth knowing before you write anything personal.
