Quoted lines in the content policy and chat privacy rows come from polybuzz.ai, read July 2026. Its privacy policy page did not return readable content for us, so training and retention are marked unverified rather than guessed. Credit where due: the library size, the image tools, and the free tier are real strengths of PolyBuzz that we do not match.
Is PolyBuzz actually uncensored?
Partly, and the distinction is public versus private. PolyBuzz says plainly on its own site that it strictly prohibits the public display of NSFW content, and that recommended content passes through layered AI screening and human moderation. That is about the feed: what gets surfaced, promoted, and shown to everyone. It is a sensible policy for a platform with an open library and it tells you nothing definitive about what happens inside a private chat.
What happens inside a private chat is genuinely inconsistent, and that is a structural consequence of user generated characters rather than a bug. The character is a prompt someone else wrote. Some are configured to hold an adult scene, some refuse, and the moderation layer sits on top of all of them. If you have found a character that works, it works. If it stops working after an update, there is nobody to ask why.
The privacy claim, and what we could and could not verify
PolyBuzz states that conversations with characters are confidential and that neither the creators nor PolyBuzz itself have access to the chat content between users and the AI characters. Taken at face value that is a strong promise, and stronger than most of the field is willing to make. Character creators not being able to read your chats is a real concern on user generated platforms and it is good that the company addresses it directly.
We tried to check it against the full privacy policy and could not: the policy page did not return readable content when we fetched it in July 2026. So we can report the claim, and we can tell you we were unable to confirm the mechanism behind it or find stated retention and training terms. That is not an accusation. It is the difference between a marketing sentence and a policy you can hold a company to, and it is worth knowing which one you are relying on.

Why crowdsourced characters get inconsistent
