How much is SuperGrok for NSFW?

There is no SuperGrok NSFW price, because xAI does not sell an NSFW plan. What it sells is SuperGrok at $30 a month, SuperGrok Lite at $10, SuperGrok Plus at $100, and a SuperGrok Heavy tier the App Store lists at $300. Those figures come from xAI's pricing page and the App Store purchase list, both read on September 21, 2026. Whether any of them gets you adult content is a question xAI answers nowhere.

The xAI pricing page shows three price cards (Free, SuperGrok and SuperGrok Plus) and a comparison table that names seven plans, including Lite, Heavy, Business and Enterprise. We searched the rendered page for the words spicy, companion, NSFW and adult, and for 18+. None of them appears. The rows in the table cover models, image generation, video generation, Grok Build, Grok Bot, search, connectors and team features. Adult content is not a row.

The App Store purchase list is the only place Lite and Heavy carry a price, and it is a bare list: ten items, a name and a price each, with no billing period. Two items are called "SuperGrok" at $30.00, one is called "SuperGrok" at $300.00, and one is "SuperGrok Heavy" at $300.00. The $300 SuperGrok item is almost certainly the annual plan, since it is exactly ten months of the monthly price. The Heavy item we cannot place. xAI's own help FAQ warns that "large unexpected invoices are often a SuperGrok Heavy yearly subscription", which tells you Heavy has a yearly option but not what it costs per month.

Does SuperGrok unlock spicy mode?

xAI does not say. Every guide that answers yes is repeating other guides. The common version is that spicy mode needs SuperGrok at $30 a month or X Premium+, that SuperGrok Lite at $10 covers ordinary image generation but not spicy, and that the feature runs only in the iOS and Android apps after an 18+ age check. That may well be how the apps behave today. It is not written on any xAI page we could find, and the plan comparison that would be the natural place to write it leaves it out.

This matters for a practical reason. When a company does not write down what a plan includes, it can change what the plan includes without changing anything it published. You would have no page to point at if the setting moved to a higher tier, disappeared in your country, or started refusing what it allowed last month. Grok's adult features have moved several times in 2026, and each time the people affected had only third-party guides to compare against.

If spicy mode is the specific reason you are subscribing, the safest thing to do is to buy one month on the web, where cancellation is in your account settings, check that the setting appears and does what you want on your own device, and only then consider the $300 item. Do not buy the long plan on the strength of a blog post, including this one.

What happened to Grok's NSFW FAQ?

It was deleted. Until the end of August 2026, the Grok help FAQ at docs.x.ai carried an entry titled "I enabled NSFW but content is still being blocked or moderated." It said, in part: "Enabling NSFW does not turn off moderation. Grok applies safety protections at all times, and some categories of content are never permitted, regardless of your settings or subscription." It went on to say that xAI does not publish specific moderation rules, that "support can't provide them", and that repeated attempts to generate prohibited content "may lead to enforcement action against your account, up to and including suspension."

The Internet Archive captured that page at 12:52 UTC on August 31, 2026 with the entry in place, and again at 05:54 UTC on September 3, 2026 without it. The Markdown version of the FAQ shows the same change between its August 9 and September 9 captures. Nothing replaced it. When we read the live FAQ on September 21, it contained no occurrence of NSFW, spicy, explicit or adult anywhere in about 20,000 characters, while the entries on Companions, watermarks, usage limits and refunds were all still there.

We do not know why it was removed, and xAI has not said. What the removal means for a buyer is simpler than the reason. As of today, the company that sells SuperGrok has no public text describing an adult setting at all: not what it allows, not what it refuses, not which plan it belongs to. The feature may still exist in the apps. The documentation for it does not.

Can you use SuperGrok NSFW on Android or the web?

Not for Companions, and xAI is explicit about that. The help FAQ answers "Are Companions available on the web or Android?" with: "No, Companions are available on the iOS app only, and there are no plans to bring them to the web or Android." That entry survived the September edit. So a SuperGrok subscription bought on an Android phone or used in a desktop browser does not include the character chat that most people mean when they talk about an uncensored Grok, and xAI says it never will.

For spicy mode in Grok Imagine, which is image and video generation rather than conversation, third-party guides say it is limited to the mobile apps. xAI does not document it either way now that the NSFW entry is gone. Anyone buying SuperGrok for adult use on a laptop should assume they are paying for a general assistant and nothing more.

Why is SuperGrok spicy mode not working?

Usually one of three things, and only one of them is a removal. The first is the usage pool. Since June 2026, paid Grok plans draw from "one shared weekly usage pool" across Chat, Imagine, Voice and Build, and the help FAQ says that "when your weekly usage limit is met, paid features will pause until your weekly limit resets." Video generation uses far more of the pool than chat does, so a few evenings of Imagine can pause everything paid until the reset date shown in Settings, Usage. A paused feature looks exactly like a missing one.

The second is surface and account. Companions are iOS only. A subscription is tied to the account that bought it, and the help FAQ notes that it "may not appear if you're signed in with a different login", which is a common cause of a paid feature vanishing after a reinstall or a switch between an Apple, Google and X sign-in. Support's own first steps are to restart or reinstall the app, log out, and clear the cache.

The third is moderation. xAI used to say in writing that enabling NSFW does not turn moderation off and that it will not publish which prompts are blocked. That text is gone, but nothing suggests the policy behind it changed. A refusal with no explanation reads as the feature being taken away. It is more often the feature declining, for a reason nobody will tell you.

How do you cancel SuperGrok or get a refund?

It depends where you bought it, and the xAI help FAQ lays this out clearly. Bought on grok.com: manage or cancel under grok.com Settings, Billing, and request refunds through the xAI refund form. Bought on Google Play: cancel in Play, but refunds are "handled by xAI" through the same form. Bought on the Apple App Store: "Apple handles all refunds for purchases made through the App Store", so both cancellation and refunds go to Apple.

There is a fourth route that catches people. If your Grok access comes from an X Premium subscription rather than SuperGrok, xAI says X, not xAI, is responsible for refunds, through X's own refund request form. Grok on X is also governed by X's terms rather than xAI's. Two companies can sit behind the same Grok screen, and which one you ask depends on how you paid.

The billing names are worth knowing too. The App Store lists the seller as X Corp., the listing's copyright line says xAI Inc., and x.ai itself now signs its pages "SpaceXAI LLC", with the consumer FAQ stating that SpaceXAI "is a separate company from X Corp." API credits, the FAQ adds, are non-refundable, and Extra Usage Credits expire one year after purchase.

How old do you have to be to use SuperGrok?

Thirteen, by xAI's own consumer FAQ. It says "You must confirm that you are at least 13 years old to use Grok", with parental permission required from 13 to 17. The App Store rates the app 16+, citing "Frequent Mature or Suggestive Themes" and "Infrequent Sexual Content or Nudity". The terms say xAI applies "controls and safeguards designed to support age appropriate experiences for minors as required by applicable law."

So SuperGrok is a general product open to teenagers, with an adult side that is age-checked inside the app and no longer documented on the web. That is a coherent design for a mass-market assistant. It is also why the adult side is the first thing to be narrowed whenever a regulator, an app store or a payment network pushes, and why it has been narrowed repeatedly this year.

Depravity is the opposite arrangement. It is for adults 18 and over only, adult conversation is the product rather than a setting inside it, and the hard lines are printed on every page: nothing involving minors, nothing involving non-consent, nothing illegal. We hold the same floor xAI does. We just do not put an unpublished layer on top of it.

Is SuperGrok worth it?

As a general assistant, often yes. For $30 a month you get xAI's current model, image and video generation, voice, live web and X search, and a multi-agent mode, with a free tier to try first and an App Store rating of 4.9 across more than 1.4 million ratings. If you would pay for an AI assistant anyway and the adult side is a bonus, SuperGrok is a reasonable purchase.

As an NSFW purchase, it is a poor one, for reasons xAI has made clearer over the past month rather than less clear. No plan is described as including adult content. The one document that described the adult setting was removed. The character chat most people are after is limited to iPhones by stated policy. Usage is metered weekly, and the paid features pause when the pool runs out. You would be paying $360 a year, or $1,200 for Plus, for a feature the vendor will not describe.

The test we would apply is simple. If SuperGrok stopped offering anything adult tomorrow, would you still want the subscription? If yes, buy it. If no, you are buying the one part of the product that has no written terms, and a product built for adults will serve you better.
