Why people look for a Secret Desires AI alternative

The first reason is the second meter. Every Secret Desires plan card leads with chat, and Pro says "Unlimited Messaging". That holds on the engines your plan includes. The user guide then explains that "cutting-edge chat engines, premium media engines, video, voice, or calls may use Hearts", that proactive images and voice notes from a Partner can spend them too, and that you should "check the displayed Heart cost before sending". Pro includes 100 Hearts a month.

The second reason is reliability. "Secret desires ai site down" and "is secret desires ai down" both sit in Google autocomplete. The site loaded normally when we checked on October 23, 2026, but the terms rule out refunds for "technical issues", so an outage on a prepaid quarter or year is simply lost time.

The third reason is the paperwork, which we cover below. Two official pages say opposite things about whether your chats can train AI models.

What Secret Desires AI costs, plan by plan

The subscription page lists three paid plans, each with monthly, quarterly and yearly billing. Monthly, Pro is $7.99, Ultra is $13.99 and Max is $19.99. Quarterly they are billed $21.99, $39.99 and $54.99. Yearly they are billed $79.99, $139.99 and $199.99, which works out to about $6.67, $11.67 and $16.67 a month. All prices are in USD.

Pro includes unlimited messaging, image and video generation, voice features, its "Advanced & Pro" chat engines and 100 Hearts a month. Ultra adds voice cloning, its own engine tier and 200 Hearts. Max adds an "Experimental Chat Engine" and 300 Hearts.

The guide warns that plan presentations, promotions and limits can differ by account and by "active experiments", and that "the amount and terms shown at checkout are authoritative for that purchase". Take a screenshot of the checkout page you agreed to.

How Hearts work, and where the meter starts

Hearts are Secret Desires' own currency for "selected premium actions". This is what its user guide says about them, read on October 23, 2026.

• Chat on an engine your plan includes: no per-message Heart charge.
• Cutting-edge or premium chat engines: "can use Hearts", with the cost shown in the engine selector.
• Voice, calls, premium media engines and video: "may use Hearts".
• Proactive images, voice notes or calls from a Partner: can use Hearts unless you switch them off in Texting Realism settings.
• Exact Heart costs: "intentionally not listed" in the guide, because "they are set dynamically".
• Usage history: a Hearts History screen to "investigate unexpected usage".

Where Secret Desires' own pages disagree about your chats

The Trust Hub, last updated March 9, 2026, is unusually direct: "Your conversations are never used to train AI models." It says processing runs through providers that "contractually guarantee zero data retention", and that the company does not sell, rent, license or trade personal data.

The privacy policy linked from the same footer is dated October 24, 2024. It lists "chat communications" among the User Content it collects and says it uses information to "Analyze, maintain, improve, modify, customize, and measure the Services, including to train our artificial intelligence/machine learning models". It also says ad networks and analytics companies such as Google Analytics may place cookies and tracking technologies.

The terms of service, dated March 26, 2026, add a content license that is "transferable, sublicensable, perpetual, irrevocable" and covers "any purpose related to the Services". The termination clause says ending the account "does not affect SecretDesires.AI's rights to your Content". The privacy policy also says a public character that becomes popular enough can stay live "even if you otherwise delete your data and your account".

None of this proves Secret Desires trains on chats today. The Trust Hub may describe current practice and the privacy policy may simply be out of date. But the privacy policy is the document a regulator or a court would read, and until it changes, the marketing promise is not what you signed.

Does Secret Desires AI allow NSFW?

Yes. Secret Desires describes itself as "an adult AI fantasy platform built for the partners, kinks, and scenarios you don't talk about anywhere else", and its terms require users to be at least 18 or the age of majority where they live. Age is affirmed at sign-up with a checkbox; the Trust Hub says it does not require identity verification.

Its transparency page lists what it removes: CSAM, celebrity likenesses, deepfakes of real people, bestiality, non-consent and incest. Moderation combines keyword filtering and AI classification, with borderline cases escalated "to trained human reviewers". Public characters must pass review before they appear, and characters built on a face swap or a cloned voice can never be made public.

Cancelling and refunds at Secret Desires

The guide says to stop renewal from Profile, then Settings, then Billing, choose Cancel Subscription and "complete every confirmation step", keep the final confirmation, and cancel before deleting the account. Charges show on your statement as "SDAI".

Refunds are the hard part. The terms say "All sales are final and non-refundable except for EU residents who are granted a 14-day withdrawal period", and that no refunds will be issued "for dissatisfaction, misunderstanding, or technical issues". Disputes go to binding individual arbitration under JAMS rules in San Francisco, with a class action waiver and an opt-out window described in the terms.

That makes the quarterly and yearly plans a real commitment. A $199.99 Max year that you stop using in month two is still a $199.99 year.

Is there a Secret Desires AI app?

Not in the US App Store. A search for "secret desires ai" on October 23, 2026 returned Nomi, Venice, Kindroid and other companion apps, and nothing from Secret Desires' developer. Secret Desires runs in the browser.

If you find an app using the name, it is someone else, under their own terms and their own billing.

Secret Desires AI alternatives compared

Secret Desires combines three things: a companion chat, an image and video generator, and a public library of Partners other users made. The right replacement depends on which of those you were paying for. If it was the images, video or voice cloning, look at another generator, because we do not make images at all. If it was browsing community characters, a large library is the closer fit.

Pro at $7.99 a month, or about $6.67 billed yearly, costs less than our $15, or $12 billed yearly, and it includes voice features plus image and video generation, which we do not offer at all. Voice notes are on our $29 Unfiltered plan and voice calls on our $59 Boundless plan.

Its Trust Hub also makes a stronger promise about training than our terms do, names its security testers and shows charges discreetly as "SDAI". If its privacy policy is updated to match, that promise will be worth a lot.

Where we differ is predictability. One monthly price covers everything on the plan, with no Hearts and no reply that costs extra because you picked a better engine. Our terms and privacy policy say the same thing, and your chats leave with you.

Which option fits you

Pick by what you actually used Secret Desires for.

• You mostly generate images and video, or clone a voice. Stay with Secret Desires or another generator; we do not make images.
• You want the lowest monthly price and use only the included engines. Secret Desires Pro at $7.99 is hard to beat on price.
• You keep spending Hearts on premium engines and voice. Count what you spent last month in Hearts History before you renew.
• You want one private companion that remembers you, unlimited messages, no currency and one consistent set of rules. That is Depravity, from $12 a month billed yearly.
