PepHop AI alternative with no monthly message cap and the rules in writing
If you are looking for a PepHop AI alternative, you have probably hit one of two walls. Either your monthly messages ran out halfway through a story, or the site stopped loading and you started wondering who actually runs it. Both are fair reasons to look, and both are easier to judge once you have read what PepHop itself publishes.

Short answer
PepHop AI sells adult character chat in monthly message bundles: Lite is $4.99 for 2,000 messages, Classic $9.99 for 5,000 and Elite $29.99 for 16,000, read on October 15, 2026. There is no unlimited plan, and its refund policy says it "generally" does not refund subscriptions. Its terms refer to an arbitration section that does not exist, and its privacy policy has no date and lists its country as a fictional place from a video game. If you want a replacement with no message cap and finished paperwork, Depravity is uncensored AI chat for US adults 18 and over at $15 a month, or $12 a month billed yearly, with unlimited messages.
We opened pephop.ai in a real browser on October 15, 2026 and read the pricing page, the FAQ, the terms of service, the privacy policy, the refund policy, the underage policy, the moderation policy and the transparency page. We also searched both US app stores. Everything below is quoted from those pages with the date we saw it, and where PepHop does something better than we do, we say so.
What makes it feel honest
PepHop AI alternative, the way it should feel
No message meter
Every plan includes unlimited messages with your companion. You never ration a scene because a counter is close to zero at the end of the month.
Finished paperwork
Our terms and privacy policy name the service, carry a date and describe what happens to your chats. The adult rule and the hard lines are written down.
Your history leaves with you
You can export or delete your conversations from your account at any time, so nothing you wrote depends on one company staying online.

What PepHop publishes about itself, page by page, read October 15, 2026
| PepHop page | What it says | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | Lite $4.99 for 2,000 messages, Classic $9.99 for 5,000, Elite $29.99 for 16,000, each per month. A banner sells $9.99 as an "Exclusive Limited-Time Offer" with a countdown. | Every plan is metered. The "limited-time" price is the same $9.99 as the regular Classic plan listed right below it. |
| Refund and Fraud Policy (January 17, 2024) | "We generally do not offer refunds for purchases or subscriptions." Exceptions are reviewed case by case "under applicable consumer laws". | Paying is treated as accepting the no refund policy, and the page warns about chargeback fees. |
| Terms of Service (January 17, 2024) | Says disputes go to "arbitration Section 10.2". The document ends at section 9. | The clause that would govern a dispute is referenced but not there. |
| Privacy Policy | No date at the top, although the text promises one. "Country refers to: Bishui Plain, Liyue". | Liyue is a fictional nation in the game Genshin Impact. The template was never filled in. |
| FAQ | "Keys are stored in your device only" and "The whole project is open-sourced". | Text that belongs to a bring-your-own-key open source frontend, on a paid subscription site. |
| Underage Policy | Users confirm they are 18 "by checking a box". | A checkbox is the whole age check. |
| Transparency Report | One entry, "Q3 2024". | Nothing published for the eight quarters since. |
| US App Store and Google Play | No PepHop app on iPhone. Google Play shows third-party "app hint" guide apps with PepHop in the name. | Anything installed from a store is not PepHop, and it collects your data under someone else's terms. |
Why people look for a PepHop AI alternative
The most common reason is the meter. PepHop does not sell time, it sells messages, and every paid plan has a monthly ceiling. Classic gives you 5,000 messages for $9.99, which sounds like plenty until you count. Long roleplay often means rerolling a reply three or four times, and every regenerated reply is another message against the bundle. A heavy evening can burn through a few hundred.
The second reason is reliability. "Pephop not loading" and "is pephop down" both sit in Google autocomplete, which means enough people have typed them to make Google suggest them. When we checked on October 15, 2026 the site was up and its pricing, FAQ and policy pages rendered normally in a browser. If it fails for you, it is worth knowing how little the paperwork promises before you pay for another month.
If message caps are your main problem, the plan by plan math is in PepHop AI unlimited messages, and the general version is in AI chat message limit reached.
What PepHop AI costs, plan by plan
The pricing page lists three monthly plans. PepHop Lite is $4.99 for 2,000 messages a month with "High-quality AI responses" and "Fast response". PepHop Classic, marked "Most popular", is $9.99 for 5,000 messages and adds "Enhanced chat memory". PepHop Elite is $29.99 for 16,000 messages and adds "Priority to new features & support". New accounts get a limited number of free messages first, which the refund policy describes as the trial.
Above the plans sits a banner headed "Exclusive Limited-Time Offer" and "Just $9.99/Month", with "Hurry, Offer Ends in" and a countdown that read 23:59:56 when we loaded the page. The offer price is identical to the standard Classic price on the same page. The banner also says "Join Over 200K+ Satisfied Users". That is PepHop's own claim, and we have no way to check it.
The page does not say what happens when you reach your cap, whether unused messages carry over, or whether you can buy a top-up. Billing questions go to billing@pephop.ai. The About page also links a PepHop page on SubscribeStar, a creator subscription platform, which is a second place money can go.
What PepHop's terms, refund and privacy pages actually say
The refund policy, last updated January 17, 2024, is direct: "Due to the nature of our AI services and the costs associated with running our infrastructure, we generally do not offer refunds for purchases or subscriptions." It adds that "By proceeding with a paid subscription after the limited-message free trial, users indicate their satisfaction with Pephop.ai and acknowledge our no refund policy." Requests under consumer law go to contact@pephop.ai and are reviewed case by case, and users "may be responsible for chargeback fees if claims are found to be fraudulent".
The terms of service carry the same date and run to nine short sections. Near the top they say "These terms require the use of arbitration Section 10.2 on an individual basis to resolve disputes." There is no section 10. The user content clause grants PepHop "a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it in connection with operating and improving the App", and the terms never mention explicit content, subscriptions or cancellation.
The privacy policy has no date, although its own text says changes update "the 'Last updated' date at the top of this Privacy Policy". In its definitions it reads "Country refers to: Bishui Plain, Liyue". Liyue is a fictional nation in the video game Genshin Impact. It is the clearest sign that the policy is a generator template nobody finished. The same document says the service does not address anyone under 18 but only promises not to knowingly collect data from children under 13.
None of this proves PepHop mishandles anything. It does mean that if something goes wrong, the documents you would lean on are incomplete.
We compared how other apps write these rules in which AI chatbots do not train on your data and are AI chats private.
Does PepHop allow NSFW?
Yes. Its underage policy says the site "includes AI-generated adult content restricted to registered users only", and its FAQ says "We respect people's taste and fetishes." The FAQ then lists what is removed on sight: child sexual content, sexualized depictions of minors, heavy gore, bestiality and sexual violence. That list overlaps closely with our own hard lines.
Enforcement is described in the moderation policy as "human moderation, automated tools, and community assistance", with human moderators reviewing content "on working days". Age is confirmed "by checking a box affirming they are 18 or older". The transparency page lists one report, for Q3 2024, and nothing after it.
For how other platforms handle the same question, see adult AI chat and Janitor AI NSFW filter.
Is there a PepHop app?
Not an official one in the US. A search for "pephop" in the US App Store on October 15, 2026 returned other companies' character chat apps and nothing from PepHop. On Google Play, the results include third-party apps titled along the lines of "Pephop Ai Chatbot App Hint", which describe themselves as guides. They are not PepHop, and anything you type into them goes to whoever published them.
If you want PepHop, it is a website. If you want an app, the store listings that carry its name are someone else.

PepHop AI alternatives compared
PepHop is a community character library: you pick from bots other users published, or build your own, and chat with them. The closest like-for-like replacements are the other big libraries that allow adult roleplay. Janitor AI and SpicyChat are where most people land, and each has its own filter and billing quirks that we document separately. Chub AI suits people who want to bring their own model key, which is the setup PepHop's leftover FAQ text describes.
Depravity is a different shape. It is one private, uncensored AI companion for adults, with long-term memory and no message meter on any plan. There is no public character library, and we do not generate images. If browsing thousands of community bots is what you liked about PepHop, a library will suit you better than we will.
Side by side pages: Janitor AI alternative, SpicyChat alternative, Chub AI alternative and CrushOn AI alternative.
What PepHop does better than we do
PepHop is cheaper at the bottom. Lite at $4.99 is a third of our monthly price, and if you only chat a few dozen times a week, 2,000 messages may genuinely be enough. It also has a large public library of community characters, lets you try a handful of messages before paying, and links a second way to subscribe through SubscribeStar.
Where we differ is everything that matters once you are a heavy user. We do not count your messages. Our terms and privacy policy are dated, finished and specific about chats. The adult rule is in the contract rather than a FAQ. And you can take your history with you.
Which option fits you
Pick by how you actually used PepHop.
- You chat lightly and mostly browse community bots. PepHop Lite or a free library like Janitor AI is the cheaper fit.
- You run long roleplays and keep hitting the monthly cap. Elite at $29.99 still stops at 16,000 messages; an unmetered plan removes the problem.
- You want to bring your own model key. Chub AI or self-hosted SillyTavern are built for that.
- You want one private companion that remembers you, with unlimited messages and the adult rule in writing. That is Depravity, from $12 a month billed yearly.
Current prices are on the pricing page, and the wider field is in best uncensored AI chatbots compared.
